Mother Nature's late Christmas Gift

So, after a fun morning to the ER, an ultrasound and a few yummy vials of pain medication, I now know that I have gallstones. The ER doc recommended surgery instead of medication because of the amount of gallstones, and we'll be setting up the surgery soon. (The holiday meant I couldn't have set it up then, as gallstones aren't life-threatening.) It's happening very fast! I'm still a bit loopy from the medicine they gave me, which is better than the searing pain I had this morning I suppose.

So 2009 will be the Year Without a Gallbladder, how joyous!

ETA: My surgery will be January 8th at 9:15!

Gallbladders are over rated -- they don't do anything too important....
I'm glad to hear that the pain has atleast subsided! Feel better, you'll be in our prayers!

Oh my gosh! I am sorry that you weren't feeling well and had to go to the ER. I had no clue.

I hope you feel better soon!

Oh so sorry for you. You sure have had a rough year and now 09 is starting off on the wrong foot. Lets hope this is the only hospital trip in a long time to come. be sure to get a blessing. Let us know when you will be having the surgery. You will be in our prayers. At times like this wish we lived closer. But Michael's family seems to taking good care of you. Wonder why they did not show up with all the other ultrasounds you have had???? Lots of love & caring

Gram- The ultrasounds we had for the babies were too low to show the gallbladder, though we found out pregnancy can cause gallstones. I'll be sure to post or email when we're having the surgery.
