Hi!

I'm Tracy, the owner and creator of Simply 14!

I am a young mother who works at home- clearly the perfect fodder for an entertaining blog.

I write for a local magazine, Growing Up in the Valley. I help out with their online content too; videos, blogs, galleries, social media and advertising. I love coming up with new craft articles, video ideas and working with our advertisers. A lot of my craft ideas are tested out on this blog first, you can check them out in the blog archive. (Completely off-topic but I do help personalize websites, blogs, vlogs, and graphic design- email me if you're interested!)

The Man I Married and my crazy brother in laws!

I grew up in New England and moved down to the south for school in 2006. I met Jake at FHE- Family Home Evening, a weekly activity people in our church attend, and fell in love quickly!  I married Jake while I was quite young, and we welcomed twin girls, Chucky Sue and Angelina, into our family 3 years later. Angelina passed away from Sirenomelia and a single ventricle heart defect at 10 days old.

We live in Roanoke, VA, USA and are loving it! Jake is a live-in counselor at a group home for high school aged boys, and Chucky Sue is busy growing up so fast and learning everything she can!  Our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, plays a huge role in our life.  Jake teaches in the Young Men organization and I am a Sunday School teacher for the 3 and 4 year old children. Chucky Sue terrorizes the poor nursery workers week after week.
