Chucky-Sue's 2 week check up

Today Chucky-Sue, Jake and I went to little one's two week check up. She did really well despite the fact that we were dangerously close to her next feeding time. She's gained just over a pound since coming home (Yay breastmilk+ Neosure!) and is currently 6lbs10oz. The doctor can still hear her murmur, but still isn't worried about it. (And we've unfortunately been well trained in seeing what heart failure looks like on a baby, so we're prepared.) The doctor said we should be seeing her be more awake between feedings soon, and that she can go to church if we don't let anyone touch her- that means no kisses, no hand holding, no NOTHING.We may come for a spare sacrament meeting or two, but probably not very often. She's allowed out in controlled public (people washing their hands before touching, avoiding anyone who has been sick etc. etc.) settings after her two month birthday. Her next appointment is for a regular check up plus her synagis shot (to protect her from RSV) She doesn't know it but she's not looking forward to that.

all in all, I've finally had a doctor's appointment that didn't contain bad news! Things are starting to look up :)

Wow! She's gaining like crazy! Good for her... and you. I wish I could get overtime hours w/ K so I could have enough money to visit. I'm very sad I can't see her or you! Love you anyway!

Thanks for explaining what Neosure is. How long will you be using it?
