Fate, Destiny, Karma...

This crazy thing called "Life" can lead you in many strange directions. I got married and had children instead of travelling the world as a French translator. Jake got a BA in psychology instead of nuclear science. This past holiday season, we thought we had found a perfect job in a perfect company for Jake to grow as a professional, and sadly the fates had another idea.

So, dear readers, if you know  of a job in the psychological/social service industry leave me a comment, and I'll be eternally grateful!

To help my tiny family, I want to start giving art lessons; in a completely unregistered, non-certificate kind of way. (Basically, these lessons would be for fun. I can't provide any credit for school or anything like that) I'm willing to create different curriculum  for the individual students. I'm just putting feelers out there, for all I know- no one could be interested!

your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!

I just noticed that I use exclamation points too often!!

Sorry to hear about the job. It sounds so cliche, but things happen for a reason and I'm sure things will work out. I'm sending thoughts and prayers your way.
...About the art lessons, one thing you may consider is approaching daycares. My daughter's daycare brings people in for music, dance, gymnastics, etc., and we pay extra for these things. They do some art on their own, but they may consider bringing someone in if it is new and different and they think it adds to the curriculum. You may also advertise with groups like MOPS or the public library. Just some thoughts... good luck!

Hey Tracy - so sorry to hear about that! I don't know if this is what he is looking for (or if you want to move -you can be my neighbor!) but this page has 2 social work type jobs listed: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/jobs/listing/listing.asp
If this is not what Michael wants to do, let me know and I'll keep an eye out. Take care - hugs!
