Chucky Sue was very interested in the snow. We went out once while it was still snowing, and once after. She wanted to make a snowman, tall, tall, tall just like in the song she sings in Nursery.

Snowman, Tall, Tall, Tall!
We have had one of the mildest winters I've ever experienced this year- no long lasting cold snaps, no drifting snow. I can't believe I wore flip-flops on Christmas! But last weekend Mother Nature pulled a 180 for a day and gave us a few inches of snow. It came down fast and thick for about 24 hours, three days later there's no trace and I'm back to wearing just t-shirts when we go outside. I gotta say, while I love snow- it was nice not to be cooped up for weeks on end while waiting for it to melt...
Chucky Sue was very interested in the snow. We went out once while it was still snowing, and once after. She wanted to make a snowman, tall, tall, tall just like in the song she sings in Nursery.
This is what we got due to lack of gloves and a two year old's attention span. Chucky Sue wore her thickest socks on her hands, she had outgrown almost all the winter wear we bought for her this year!
Now, even though the snow is long gone and our backyard is green and flowering again, she uses "Snowman?" to ask to go outside and play.

You sure were lucky to have gotten any snow! Here in NH where snow is usually plentiful, it has been a dud of a winter. Makes most people happy, but not me! Chucky-Sue, I wish I could play in the snow w/you & I make awesome TALL SNOWMEN!

Ahh, the socks on the hands brought back memories. When M was a baby, we lived in Wichita and it only snowed once a year (if at all)-- not worth investing in snow clothes for that! So when it did snow, we put plastic bags over her shoes in place of boots and towed her around on the snow shovel since we didn't have a sled. :-)
