This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I have never really gardened before. I helped my mom weed her gardens while growing up, but spending my summer pulling stubborn plants up was never my idea of fun. Since getting married, we've never had space for an outside garden. (our landlord would frown on us tilling up his landscaping.) But I am thinking of my future house with a backyard and everything, and I would love a garden and flowers everywhere.
That's how I found digdropdone.com It is a great MODERN website on learning about bulb flowers and plants. They have three different "Ladies" to help match a gardening style and tips to your personality. While the curlers in Evelyn "The Empty Nester" made me giggle, I chose Marcy "The Super Mom" as I want quick EASY plants to start with, things that don't require too much time or special care. There are videos of all three ladies to watch, full of good ideas and lots of humor. The whole site has EVERYTHING about bulbs you would never need to know. The site was very easy to navigate and figure out what I was looking for. My favorite part? The Bulb Inspiration is a photo gallery of ideas of how and where to plant bulbs, it was just so beautiful to look at AND great ideas for me to able to grow plants inside and not have them whither and die right away.
Dig Drop Done is hosting a contest over at Curbside Chaos to let a lucky follower win a $5000 yard makeover! All you have to do is upload a photo of your sad flowerless yard and you may get professional, Taniya Nayak, to come to your house and personalize your makeover! Even if you're not interested in winning (which, why wouldn't you be!??!) you can share Curbside Chaos on Twitter and Dig Drop Done will donate $1 to Rebuilding Together, which is a really cool foundation that works on helping make affordable homes and make neighborhoods beautiful. No more work than a writing a simple 140 character tweet!
Curbside Chaos has a nifty garden guru tool for you to use to help chose the right kind of bulb for your geographic area and when you want it to bloom, I used it and was told that Crocus was the flower for me! check out my results:
Who knows, maybe for christmas I'll get some planting supplies and have some beautiful flowers around my house! Now if only the site had good ideas for keeping toddlers out of soil....
