Photography.
I've always loved photography- I remember my mom's red camera that was huge and clunky. I remember being allowed to play with it after mom took out her roll of film. I would go around the house and "Take pictures" of everything. Photos to me are mini time capsules. You can see fashion trends, food choices and cultural changes in just a single photo album.(Bonus points if you know where this photo was taken)
One of my favorite rainy-day activities was to look at the millions of photo albums my mom had collected over the years. I would look through past birthday parties, first day of school photos and summer pool barbecues- remember what we did, who I was with and how I felt. In most of my journals I have pasted photos of friends, TV shows and places I've been. I can recall a moment in my life so much easier if there is a visual to go with it.
Even now, I love just taking photos of a random day. I've shared photos of a nature walk Jake and I took, I have photos of people I've worked with and teachers I've learned from.
I love bold, bright and crisp photos. some of my favorites come from a "photoshoot" with Me, Colleen, Nikki and Emily at a playground- the summer before we all left for University.(I was recommended Sunday Scribblings by BrittSoucy)

I enjoy pictures of bright things too - and sadly, no bonus points for me 'cause I haven't a CLUE where that was taken! :)

I love your idea of just capturing a regular day! Our everyday activities and joys really make us who we are, yet we often forget to mark them and treasure them. Thanks!
